Welcome to Information circular #3 from the SKC. Periodically notices will be sent out to alert Karters to important information or issues that must be adhered to. It will be emailed directly to Karters who have supplied a current email address in the AKA Licencing System, and will also be published on Club websites and/or Noticeboards.
Corrections to Statewide Series Information:
Midgets: engine as per AKA 2010 Manual 41.01There will be no monetary penalty for late entry. Karts will go to rear of grid. It is to be encouraged by competitors not to have a late entry.
TAS TAG Tyres:
Tas Tag class will run using Rotax, Leopard, Fireball and Cheetah engines using MG Yellow Tyres and MG White wets at 167kg Any Leopard x30 engines will be 172kg. There are no other changes to this class allowed other than the tyre decision. Use of tyre will only be offered until end of June 2010 and then will be reviewed.Email addresses in the AKA Licencing system
Whilst it is understandable that not all Karters have an email address, it is imperative that if you do supply an email address that it will reach you. It is your responsibility to make sure it is correct and current. If you do have an email address and it is not in the AKA system, it would be helpful if you could include in your record please.The SKC uses this medium to quickly notify and alert Karters to AKA rule changes, SKC decisions and other relevant information. Currently nearly 20% of emails are bouncing back which means Karters are not getting the information they need to compete legally and safely.
2010 SKC Meeting Calendar:
The dates below have been set for 2010 meetings:Friday 16th April , Friday 23 July, Fri 24th September (AGM) and Friday 26th November.
Transponder Purchase Information:
Transponders can only be ordered in batches of 40. There is a 7 day lead time for new orders to the supplier. It is recommended that purchases of Transponders are not left to the last minute.
To purchase your transponder(s) you must either:

The 2010 AKA Manual has been released and is available electronically on the AKA website. It is also available on club websites. Your Club Secretary will distribute the 2010 hardcopy manual.
